October 16, 2002 Director of Media Relations 413/542-8417 AMHERST, Mass.- Amherst College will present eighth blackbird in a concert of works by Rzewski, Perle and the Minimum Security Composers Collective on Saturday, November 16, at 8:00 p.m. in Buckley Recital Hall. The concert, sponsored by the Adams Fund for Music, is free and open to the public.

November 15, 2002 Director of Media Relations 413/542-8417 AMHERST, Mass.- In the next concert in the Music at Amherst series, Vladimir Feltsman will perform an evening of piano pieces, including Bach's Partita No. 1 in B-flat Major and Partita No. 2 in C minor and Mussorgsky's "Pictures at An Exhibition." The concert is on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 8 p.m. in Buckley Recital Hall in the Arms Music Center at Amherst College.

Osiris Trio Presents Music at Amherst Feb. 1

January 14, 2003Director of Media Relations413/542-8417 AMHERST, Mass. - In the next concert in the Music at Amherst series, the Osiris Trio will perform Trio, Op. 1, No. 3 of Beethoven, Frank Martin's Trio on Irish Folk Tunes and the Piano Trio No.2 in C by Brahms, on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 8 p.m. in Buckley Recital Hall at Amherst College. With this performance, Music at Amherst begins a mini-festival of Brahms: the artists in the remaining concerts in this year's series will play music of the German composer.

Lighthouse Chamber Players To Perform at Amherst College Feb. 18

February 3, 2003Director of Media Relations413/542-8417 AMHERST, Mass.—The Lighthouse Chamber Players, an acclaimed ensemble of chamber musicians based in New York, will present a special preview performance of Amherst College faculty composer Eric Sawyer?s String Quartet #3 on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. in Buckley Recital Hall. The concert also will include a short introduction of the work by the composer and performers.
