Note: You must have federal work-study and complete an official Off-Campus Work-Study contract between the Yiddish Book Center and your school before you can be officially hired or paid.

The Yiddish Book Center is a non-profit organization working to tell the whole Jewish story by rescuing, translating and disseminating Yiddish books and presenting innovative educational programs that broaden understanding of modern Jewish identity. It is located on Hampshire College campus/PVTA bus route, 1021 West Street, Amherst, MA 01002      

Steps to Federal Work Study

If you receive financial aid, there’s a chance you’re eligible for Federal Work study for your Girls Inc tutoring hours through America Counts/America Reads. You will be required to attend at least one America Counts/America Reads tutor training throughout your tutoring-year with Girls Inc. There’s an option where you may convert loans to this reward, too. Contact the Financial Aid office to see if you are eligible and follow these steps to get paid:
