The Department of Information Technology provides a wide variety of services and facilities to faculty and students. A standard computer, printer, and a suite of software are provided to all full-time faculty, as well as to part-time faculty where appropriate. A high speed Ethernet network reaches all faculty offices and classrooms, allowing faculty to connect to systems and resources on campus, in the library, and on the Internet at large. Email accounts, web accounts, and voice mail are provided for all faculty and students.

Advancement Reporting & Systems

Advancement Reporting & Systems provides systems and tools to support the intelligent extraction of reporting data.

These tools are gathered for users into a single interface called ARI (for Advancement Reporting Interface). ARI is available to all Advancement staff, and components of it are also shared as requested with other departments on campus.

Amherst College is moving toward a stipend model to support a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy, in place of College-­‐provided equipment, for employees whose jobs require the use of a mobile device with phone or data service.   

Program Requirements:

If an employee’s job duties include the frequent need for a mobile device he/she may be eligible for a stipend to defray the cost of the monthly fees.
