For Faculty & Staff

Amherst College has five general use Pool Vehicles. These vehicles may be requested by Faculty or Staff for College business reasons. Please see the Pool Vehicle Policy for restrictions.

Key Policy

The College Locksmith is Douglas Fuller. Email the Lockshop here. The lockshop is located on the first floor of Services Building or call the Service Desk at (413) 542-2254 (7 AM to 3:30 PM). For after hours emergencies, call the Dispatch Center at (413) 542-2291.

Dog Registration

It is important for all members of the campus community to feel secure in our facilities and on our grounds. Therefore, the College will not permit dogs in public areas of the College buildings (research animals and animals for the disabled excepted). The College will allow employees to have their dogs inside their private offices, subject to the following guidelines:

Bike Patrol

Amherst College police officers have been patrolling the campus, lots, bike paths and surrounding wooded areas on mountain bicycles since 1994. In 2008 the police added a Vectrix Electric Motorcycle to the patrol fleet.
