Celebrating Commencement with On-Campus Parties

Graduating seniors, their families and friends, are welcome to host Commencement celebrations utilizing our outdoor campus space during Commencement Weekend. The tent/space reservation request process for Commencement 2016 will open on November 2. There is no charge for using campus space, although it must be approved through the Events Office. Early applications for space cannot be considered.

To hold on-campus parties at Amherst College, the following procedure should be followed:

Tickets, Location & Weather

When Commencement is outdoors on the Main Quadrangle, seating is unlimited and no tickets are required. If severe weather forces Commencement indoors, the event will be held in LeFrak Gymnasium, where seating is limited to ticket holders.

Each graduating senior may pick up three tickets for family or other guests, beginning Friday at 1:00 at Commencement Headquarters in Alumni House.

Guests without tickets may watch a video simulcast of the event in Coolidge Cage, next to LeFrak.
