Music 9 and 10 have an end-of-semester recital. Extracurricular chamber groups may also perform in smaller informal recitals on campus.

The Music at Amherst series presents six concerts throughout the academic year, and brings in some of the world's premier artists. Students receive free tickets to these performances. For a full concert schedule, visit the Music at Amherst site.

Music 9/10

Professor Jenny Kallick's Music 9/10 (fall/spring) consists of outstanding Amherst student musicians who devote themselves to the art form of chamber performance. Students who are accepted into Music 9 and 10 are placed in chamber ensembles and over the course of a semester, dedicate themselves to learning and perfecting a challenging and varied repertoire. They will receive regular coachings by department faculty, and will take part in master classes by visiting artists. These artists have included: Leon Fleisher The Brentano Quartet
