Dr. Vanja Malloy joined the Mead Art Museum at Amherst College as the curator of American art in 2014. She came to Amherst by way of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where she was the Chester Dale Fellow in the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art. Vanja has a Masters in American Fine and Decorative Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art and a bachelor’s degree in art history from Duke University. She was awarded a Ph.D.
