Please keep in mind the requirements of working as an usher. You will be the first point of contact guests will have with College staff at our events. As such, you should be "dressed to impress", friendly and knowledgable, and prepared to work on your feet for up to several hours. The Office of the Association of Amherst Students (AAS) Treasurer is seeking part-time check clerks for the 2013-2014 academic year. The AAS Treasurer administers and manages the student government’s one million dollar operating budget. Check clerks will assist the AAS Treasurer with clerical duties that are important to efficiently and effectively dispersing funds.
Career Center Welcomes New Director Ursula Olender

This fall, Amherst welcomes Ursula Olender as the new director of the Career Center and associate dean of students. She comes to Amherst from Colgate University, where she became director of career services in 2007. She was previously associate director of career services and chief health professions adviser at Dartmouth College. She received a master’s degree in counseling from Springfield College and a bachelor’s in psychology from Greenville College. She recently spoke with Rebecca Ojserkis ’12 about her plans for Amherst.
