How to upload or change your profile photo

  1. If you are not logged into the website, do so.
  2. On any page on the Amherst website, click on the My Amherst link in the upper right.
  3. Click on the My Profile tab.
  4. Click on the Photos tab.
  5. In the New Photo area, click on the Browse button and select the picture file you want to upload from your computer. The picture must be a .jpg file in portrait orientation (the height greater than the width), and it must be at least 300 pixels wide.

How to copy and paste from a word processor

Click on Paste from word,  Paste your text with Ctrl+V.  Click Insert.

How to enable RSS feed buttons on a page

You have the option to allow readers to add your articles to their RSS feeds.  For more information about using RSS readers and feeds, see this page.

On your page, click the Settings tab.  Click Appearance.  Check the box Enable the RRS feed for this page.  Click Save settings.

Subsription buttons will now appear in the top right corner of the page.

How to revert to an earlier version of an article

Click on Revisions under the article.

If you know which version you want, click on revert next to it to revert to that version.


How to recover a deleted article or page

Recover an article or other page content

  1. Find [Recycle bin] under the page where the article was deleted from.


How to delete an article or page

To delete an article, either:

  • Click on Delete under the article.


How to copy or move a page

  1. Under the Settings tab, click Copy/Move.
  2. Choose whether to Copy or Move.
  3. Check what to copy.  Make sure to check Contents if you don't want an empty page.
  4. Choose a destination -- the place you want to move your page to.
  5. Click Go!

Note that if you did not use mm links for internal links on your pages, they will break after you move them.
