General Settings

Under general settings you see just two items:Page Name: The page name is used internally to refer to the current page. It is used in the Navigation menu as the pointer to the page and anytime you need to browse through the site. Instances of the latter include when you copy or move a page, when you assign content to more than one page, or when you look for uploaded files to insert into an article.


When you click on the Settings tab at the top of a page you open the first (default) item under Settings, namely Edit.

Creating and Editing Content

[complete redo]  Before you can create or edit content on the Amherst website you must log in. You'll find links reading "log in to My Amherst" on both the college homepage and on the intranet page. If you log in using one of these links you'll be redirected to you My Profile page.You'll also find a Log in link on every page of the website that is managed by the CMS. If you log in using one of these links you'll be returned to the page where you logged in.
