October 16, 2001 Director of Media Relations 413/542-8417 AMHERST, Mass.—The Amherst Assembly for Patriotism, a new student group at Amherst College, will hold its first public rally, where students, staff and faculty will gather to speak out about what it means to them to be Americans, on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 1 p.m. at the Keefe Campus Center. The group’s founders are Michael Gerard Flood, a junior from Maynard, Mass., and Benjamin Baum, a junior from Plymouth, Mass.
