Summer 2017 Annual Fund Internship

Description: The Advancement Office of Amherst College carries out the critical mission of engaging Amherst’s 22,000 alumni in the life of the College. This internship provides the opportunity to learn how Amherst's Advancement Office functions and will teach valuable skills in fundraising; event planning; project management; volunteer coordination and leadership; and publicity and communications.

Student jobs for Commencement and Reunion are available from Sunday, May 14 to Sunday, May 28. Applications for all positions are due by Tuesday, March 1. We encourage you to submit your application early.

Job Title: Program Coordinator

Hourly Rate: $11.00/hour

Term/Start Date: This position is contract-based. Employment renewals will be extended after a satisfactory end of semester review with the Director.

Special Information:

Candidate must be available to work on Tuesday (at least 11 to 12:30) and Thursday (at least 10 to 11) mornings, and attend our staff meetings on Fridays from 11 to noon.

Student Security Monitor - Police Department

Term/Start Date:  September 6, 2016

Job Description:  Student Security are paid student employees who provide services for college sponsored events at the direction of the Amherst College Police Department. 

Approximate Number of Hours:  4 – 8 hours a week

Requirements:  Must be able to work nights and weekends.
