For Amherst College, the recent completion a five-year Habitat For Humanity construction project on Stanley Street means a job well done. For Ashlee Cancio-Bello, it means coming home, and a little something more.

“Habitat is like love in action,” said Cancio-Bello, who now lives in one of the houses that the college helped make a reality.

Fall Housing in DC?

Submitted by Derek K. O'Leary on Wednesday, 8/15/2012, at 7:17 AM

Dear All,

I'm looking for housing in or near DC for mid-September to mid-December. (I just finished a master's in international relations at the Fletcher School at Tufts and have a short-term gig with the European Parliament in DC.) If you should be looking to rent a room or apartment or know of anyone who is, I'd love to know.

You can please reach me at derekkoleary@gmail.com

Best regards,

Today’s post is going off of a pretty solid assumption that everyone who would be reading this has seen Mean Girls. Just as Janice Ian and Damian give Cady the breakdown of the North Shore High School cafeteria, I will provide prospective students, incoming freshmen, and oblivious current students with the insider scoop on each dorm at Amherst College. This is crazy long so maybe read only a section at a time.
