She started her professional career in foreign exchange sales and trading at Irving Trust Co. After receiving her MBA, she worked in a progression of industries and functional capacities in the Bay Area, including as associate development director for the San Francisco Ballet, in marketing and strategic planning for a computer start-up, and with a boutique executive search firm in Silicon Valley.

Chris Noyer Seaver ’81 was an economics major at Amherst, but she took courses in everything from art history to genetics. She spent four years on the squash team. She also played field hockey, lacrosse and tennis; worked at Valentine and at athletic events; and dabbled in student government and writing for the Amherst Student.
