The alumni of Amherst College elected Christopher S. Lehane ’90 to a six-year term on the college’s Board of Trustees starting in 2008 and he was appointed a term trustee in 2014. He is a founding partner of the San Francisco-based public relations firm Fabiani and Lehane and has advised corporations, entertainers, professional athletes and politicians in finances, communications, government affairs and the law. He has also worked on several political campaigns, including the U.S. Presidential campaigns in 1992 and 2000. Between these two campaigns, he was special assistant counsel to President Bill Clinton from 1995 to 1997 and then press secretary to Vice President Al Gore from 1997 to 2000.
In addition to his bachelor’s degree in history from Amherst, Lehane holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
