I graduated from Amherst in 1989 and joined the Amherst College staff in January, 2007.
I work in the Database Services group (DBS) in the basement of Converse Hall, B12. We care for all sorts of databases, most notably are Datatel (the software that runs Amherst College) and TMA (the Physical Plant uses this for work order management).
Before working here, I was employed at Spalding Sports Worldwide in Chicopee, Massachusetts starting in 1991. The name Spalding and the sporting goods assets were sold to Russell Athletic. The remaining entity filed for bankruptcy, emerged as The Top-Flite Golf Company and was subsequently purchased by Callaway Golf.
I worked in the Information Technology department, caring for a variety of tasks. Most recently serving as Network Engineer.
