The Amherst environment fosters lifelong friendships and sparks a deep and persistent desire to learn. Our alumni take all variety of paths in life. Some are prominent on the world scene and others contribute to society in equally important though less public ways. A liberal arts education prepares students for careers, volunteer activities, and individual interests and pursuits that are personally meaningful.
It’s not about what you have done since Amherst, but who you have become.
