What is Sikhism? In light of the recent Wisconsin tragedy, it is clear that Americans are largely ignorant of this faith of approximately 27 million people. It is frequently confused with Islam and Hinduism, with which it shares many beliefs-- but it also has many differences. This event introduces the religion of Sikhism through two perspectives: that of an Amherst College professor born a Sikh and that of a student, not a Sikh, who was curious about Sikhism has studied this religion. Come and improve your understanding of this religion and its people.

This event is sponsored by Religious Life and The Multifaith Council.
