Join us for an information session for Semester Cinema, an off-campus film intensive semester planned for winter/spring 2024, where 28 professionals will mentor and collaborate with 35 students from multiple colleges, to make an ambitious feature film for national release. We work with professional actors - our casts have included 3 Academy Award nominees, 4 Emmy winners and 2 Tony nominees.

Program starts with a week at the Sundance Film Festival – then to Nantucket for 7 weeks of classes, workshops, visiting artists and pre-production – followed by 6 weeks of production where students work in substantial roles. Semester Cinema is deeply grounded in the liberal arts. Film and theater students thrive - through history, psychology and English majors have also expanded their own focus by working with us.

Info session with founder/director Jay Craven will include a short behind-the-scenes video and detailed discussion about the 2024 program that will produce a contemporary adaptation of George Bernard Shaw’s Tony-nominated comedy/satire, "Major Barbara."
