"Bridging the gap; the sum of its (p)arts" is the closing event of a semester-long Mail Art project developed between the students of courses World-Making: Art in Times of Global War (Prof. Ferrari, Amherst College) and "Pa'lante compañeros": Social Justice Movements in Black and Brown Communities (Prof. Gutiérrez and Mark Clinton, Holyoke Community College). Throughout the semester, students from both classes have developed collective artworks using mail art—a creative strategy to cross geographical, political, and institutional borders.  The two classes will meet in person at Holyoke Public Library for the first time to celebrate, along with their postal creations. Join us - the event is free and open to the public!
