The Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) was founded in 1888 and has been pioneering marine research ever since. Their semester abroad programs offer students opportunities to get hands-on lab and field work experience traditionally only available to graduate students. Students work directly with expert scientists and have access to equipment and animals. The program is academically intensive with students expected to be working a full course schedule.
