Salaries and Fringe Benefits
All salary, fringe benefits and college service policies are determined by the Amherst College Board of Trustees on the recommendations of the president, the dean of the faculty and the chief financial and administrative officer. In making their recommendations, which are always subject to budgetary constraints and changes in state and federal legislation, these officers of the college regularly consult relevant national survey data, to ensure competitiveness, and consider matters of internal equity.
