Argentine Tango Club Mission

The mission of the Argentine Tango Club (ATC) is to allow all students of Amherst College the opportunity to learn the art of Argentine Tango by providing the instruction, facilities, and social events necessary to afford them said opportunity.

The ATC will do its best intent to provide affordable access to instructions, which might discourage students to pursue dancing due to the high costs of instructions.

We are open to students of all persuasions, whether or not they are committed or if they simply want to learn the dance once or twice, and we do not discriminate on race, gender, or sexual orientation. Additionally, we want to help foster a tango community at Amherst College and give interested students the means by which to navigate in the Argentine Tango atmosphere once they graduate.
