Emily Taylor Merriman

Emily Taylor Merriman is a Writing Associate and the Advisor for Multilingual Students in the Writing Center. She has previously taught writing at MIT, Babson College, Emmanuel College, Boston University and in high schools and adult education settings. At San Francisco State University she taught twentieth-century poetry from Britain, the United States, and the Caribbean. She has degrees from Oxford and London Universities. She earned a PhD in Religion and Literature from Boston University. Her published work includes essays on Gerard M. Hopkins, William Blake, Geoffrey Hill, Adrienne Rich, Linton Kwesi Johnson, and Thomas Hardy. She currently serves as Book Review Co-Editor for The Hopkins Quarterly.
