  • NSF Noyce Scholarship (National Science Foundation Robert Noyce Scholarship) is offering scholarship opportunities for juniors, seniors or recent graduates from STEM and Computer Science fields at The University of Vermont. The scholarship is specifically designed for incoming graduate students that hold an undergraduate degree in a STEM+CS field and are interested in pursuing a career in teaching grades 7-12. The goal is to prepare teachers, through a rigorous and enriching teacher preparation program, for positions in traditionally underserved and underrepresented schools throughout the US.

  • RISE Germany:  Research Internships in Science and Engineering. RISE Germany offers undergraduate students from North American, British and Irish universities the opportunity to complete a summer research internship at top German universities and research institutions. RISE Germany is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office. Students are matched with a host university or institute according to their area of interest (biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, engineering, or a closely related field). DAAD provides students a monthly stipend for three months to help cover living expenses. Host universities, universities of applied sciences (UAS) and institutes provide housing assistance and match students with Ph.D. student mentors or researchers (only UAS).  German language is not required and the working language will be in English. (Application deadline: December 15, 2021)

  • RORD (Research Opportunities in Rock Deformation) is a paid internship program designed to provide laboratory-and field-based research experience in rock mechanics and structural geology. The program will run from *June 4 to July 22*, 2022 (with an additional conference session in December) and students will be based in one of 11 different rock mechanics labs around the US.  These are undergraduate internships in the inaugural cohort of the NSF-funded *REU: Research Opportunities in Rock Deformation (RORD)* (https://sites.wustl.edu/rord/).
