Emergency Maintenance Requests
We are pleased to announce that Ralph Johnson is Amherst College’s new Executive Director of Campus Operations, responsible for Facilities Operations, Dining Operations, Rental Housing, Auxiliary Services, the Print and Mailing Center, and Procurement Services. He will report to Chief Finance and Administrative Officer Mike Thomas.
Ralph has been with the college since 2017 and currently serves as the Director of Shared Services and Procurement. Before coming to Amherst, he served as the associate vice president of procurement and contracts at Morehouse College, where he was responsible for procurement, dining, parking, the campus bookstore, vending, postal services, printing services and laundry. Ralph’s career prior to moving into higher education includes roles in electrical engineering and management.
With Ralph’s move to campus operations, Debbie Edwards will be serving as the Interim Director of Shared Services. Debbie has been at the College since 2018 as the Assistant Director of Shared Services, Finance, and was responsible for Accounts Payable and Payroll.
