Uniandes has a liberal arts college within the university and students can take courses across the entire university. A course catalog is available online. Students must have the equivalent of 4 semesters of Spanish, take all courses in Spanish, and take a Spanish language course if necessary.
This exchange is available in the fall semester only.
Housing and Meals
Students will have a single room in a 4-person suite in Torre Séneca. Students will receive a meal stipend from Uniandes during orientation to cover 3 meals/day—a mix of eating out and cooking in—for the semester. Visit Uniandes' YouTube channel to learn more.
Dates
- Fall 2024: early Aug to early Dec 2023 (exact dates TBD)
- Students enrolling in the free optional pre-semester language course will begin in early July.

Fees
- Amherst's comprehensive fee for tuition, room, and board
- Amherst Student Health Insurance (waivable)
- Tuition insurance (waivable)
Credits to Your AC Account
- $1,800 personal expense allowance
- Up to $800 airfare credit based on the actual ticket cost
Students should budget for other expenses, such as visa and passport fees. Financial aid is fully transferable. More information is online.
